ABOUT NEW HOPE WORSHIP
We exist to glorify God and to make Him known. This is the foundation of our worship team and the reason we take this ministry very seriously. Our goal is to point to our Heavenly Father in everything we do (songs, behavior, dress, etc.) and to follow Scripture's prescription by worshiping in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). Scripture also commands us to praise the Lord with our voices and with instruments throughout the Psalms (especially Psalm 150), to sing a new song (Psalm 33:3, 40:3, 96:1, 98:1, 144:9, 149:1, Isaiah 42:10, Revelation 5:9, 14:3), and to do it skillfully (Psalm 33:3 & 1 Chronicles 25). We believe that worship is ascribing worth to the Lord with our whole person. So, we seek to be an example of this as we lead our congregation.
Whether you play an instrument, sing, or run sound or video, you are leading our people in worship. Those who lead worship are expected to have a personal relationship with Christ and live in a way that is in line with the Scriptures and honors the Lord. One cannot lead where you have not been yourself. With this in mind, we emphasize personal devotions and worship times apart from Sunday mornings for all team members.
JOIN OUR TEAM
Prospective musicians will be asked to audition in their area of interest. We are taking auditions for vocalists, rhythm & lead guitar, bass, keys, and drums.
If you are interested in the technical side of worship, we would love to have you join our audio or video team! We need people who are passionate about worship to serve our congregation in these ministries. No experience is required and we provide training for the area in which you feel called to serve.
